
In the widely shared video of Kennedy Agyapong responding to alleged assault and intimidation threats against his agents, the Assin North MP is heard pledging to have “a showdown” with Vice President Bawumia and President Akufo-Addo.
The NPP’s election on Saturday was intended to reduce the field of flagbearer contenders from 10 to 5.
Kennedy Agyapong came in second place with 132 votes less than vice president Bawumia, who received 629 of the more than 900 total votes cast.
