Even though the cathedral’s construction has drawn criticism, he insisted that it must still be erected.

Mr. Ofori-Atta stated that the government must find a method to fund the project in an interview with Joy News.

“The National Cathedral has become into a contentious subject…

We need to find a means to ensure that the cathedral is built, but I personally believe in the authenticity of spirituality in what we do.

In an interview with George Wiafe for the PM Express Business Edition on Joy News, the minister said, “… outside of the government, we shall find a method to go around it.

In connection with this, Reverend Joyce Aryee, a Trustee of the Cathedral, stated that the Cathedral Board is unaware of the amount of money the Government has put in the Project.

She claimed that the trustees were tasked with raising money while the government provided further assistance for the cathedral construction.

“I’m still looking for it, I think that’s the question we need to go and ask-Since the state said it will give us seed money, what proportion is it giving?” Dr. Aryee asked in an interview with Citi News.

No, we weren’t told; we were just told that there was seed money, and we’ve relied on the occasional seed money that the government will come up with. We are not aware of this.
