According to Kwame Asare Obeng, better known as A Plus, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng has escaped 5 separate assassination attempts this year alone, which is why his office insists on armored cars.

He was responding to complaints that followed the release of a leaked document that showed the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) asking the Finance Ministry for GH¢29,952,000 in total to buy 12 different types of light-body vehicles and four different types of armored vehicles. The request was part of an application submitted in 2021 to have certain automobiles cleared.

A Plus claims that Kissi Agyebeng and the OSP only wanted to safeguard their lives due to ongoing threats against the lives of its employees, and criticizing them for making a request that they have a right to makes them appear insensitive.

“You’d like to murder someone. You are upset because he has asked for bulletproof cars, which is required by the law that established his office, despite the fact that you have attempted five attempts on his life just this year. Was the OSP established by the special prosecutor?

Would you just quiet up over there and let the guy do his job, or should I release the pictures of all the attempts? Like, he ought to make himself available for K!ln, abi? It’s surprising that he didn’t even ask for bulldozers that are bulletproof. Even if you have kids, you yearn to kiss someone every single day. Ask the cops to question me if you would like. Like what I’m about to say, hehe! I’m exposing your deceit! He posted on Tuesday, December on his Facebook page.

He bemoaned the fact that Kissi Agyebeng was not receiving the same treatment as certain well-intentioned Ghanaians who attempted to combat corruption.
