
According to Bloomberg, the Ghana cedi, which is now ranked as the 147th worst-performing currency in the world, lost 40.5% of its value against the dollar in the first nine months of 2022.
The local currency is depreciating at its worst rate in more than three decades against the dollar.
The 30 best-performing currencies on the African continent were all inferior to the cedi in terms of performance.
