Ghanaian rap sensation Sarkodie paid a moving homage to his late lawyer and confidante, Maa C., on stage during the Rapperholic event, in a moving and intense moment.
The heartfelt homage not only revealed the rapper’s frailty but also the significant influence Maa C had on Sarkodie’s professional and personal lives.
During the performance, Sarkodie took a time to herself to realize that Maa C—her full name is Cynthia Quarcoo—was not there. At the age of 54, the well-known attorney and significant person in Sarkodie’s life tragically passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, leaving a gap in the artist’s life that is still very much felt.
In an emotional and heartfelt homage to Maa C, rapper Sarkodie talked candidly about the influence the musician had on his career, recalling instances when she offered advice and encouragement as well as the critical role she had in determining his course in the music business.
This moving tribute revealed the deep bond that existed between the artist and his late lawyer.
