He is best recognized for his videos that promote travel. Wode Maya, who was born and raised in the community of Kofikrom in western Ghana, had the chance to study abroad in China, where he came up with the moniker “Wode Maya,” which is Chinese for “my mother.”

Wode Maya first traveled to roughly five African nations, sharing his travel experiences and each country’s culture, after leaving China with a loan from friends to pursue his ambitions.
