The lining of your uterus sheds each month during menstruation. Menstruation is sometimes referred to as menses, a period, a cycle, or a time.

There are various methods one might use to determine when their period is due. As their hormone levels fall, many women experience a variety of physical and psychological symptoms together referred to as premenstrual syndrome (PMS).

Here’s how to determine the arrival of a period:

  • Your breasts are soft.

On the days preceding a period, it’s normal for breasts to feel unusually sensitive or even sore. “Breasts can feel sore and swollen due to the fluctuating amounts of hormones.

It’s crucial to learn how your breasts typically seem and feel. The ideal time to check your breasts is right after your menstruation has finished, when they are least likely to be puffy and sensitive. Keep in mind that breast soreness before to your period is common, but you should consult a doctor if you have more questions or detect a change.
