Isaac Adongo, the member of parliament for Bolgatanga Central, has criticized Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his “inability” to address Ghana’s economic problems.
He claims that Dr. Bawumia, the nation’s head of economic management, has failed to appropriately determine both the country’s inflation rate and the rate at which the cedi is devaluing.
The vice president, according to Adongo, is to blame for the nation’s economic problems.
He asked, “How did Ghana end up with a Vice President and Head of Economic Management team who cannot correctly calculate inflation or even the depreciation rate of the cedi and had to be thought this elementary lesson by one of the professionals of the NDC that he so gleefully touted as incompetent? “How did Ghana end up with a Vice President and Head of Economic Management team who cannot correctly calculate inflation or even the depreciation rate of the cedi?”
After passing Sri Lanka, the Ghanaian cedi is now considered to be the currency that has performed the worst globally when compared to the US dollar.
The rate of inflation has just reached 37.2% after continuing to rise.
