Accra Floods Once More

Following yesterday's downpour, Accra, the capital of the country, saw severe flooding that destroyed homes and forced the closure of stores and other businesses. While some commuters parked their cars to wait for the rain to stop, others drove carefully through the flood that covered much of the road. Since the floodwaters rendered the roads unusable for cars, the majority of the locations encountered traffic bottlenecks. It follows a torrential downpour that pounded the nation's capital on May 6, 2024, injuring one person when a tree in Cantonments toppled on a motorcycle and a car.
