
Following yesterday’s downpour, Accra, the capital of the country, saw severe flooding that destroyed homes and forced the closure of stores and other businesses.

The heavy rain had a significant impact on the 37 Military Hospital-Legon stretch, particularly in the area around the Africa Regent Hotel, Spanner, and Airport.
The other areas affected were Kaneshie First Light, Mallam, Alajo, Adabraka, Makola, and Odawna.
A huge billboard at Teshie Roman Junction collapsed just before lunchtime, trapping the occupants of a Toyota Corolla and saving their lives.
