The missing US$1 million from Cecilia Abena Dapaah’s Abelemkpe home, which was reported on on July 21, has been linked to her brother. Cecilia Abena Dapaah is a troubled former sanitation minister.
The late Nana Akwasi Essan II was originally introduced to the discussion by journalist Paul Adom-Otchere, who connected him to US$800,000 of the stolen money.
Adom-Otchere stressed that the man who passed away at the age of 60 had made a good life for himself through the enterprises he owned before his passing.
Adom-Otchere made the following three main comments concerning the deceased:
He was Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s Numuahene. In a poster seen by GhanaWeb, the Asantehene was indeed the Chief Mourner at his burial.
b. He was a contractor and a farmer.
c. He was also involved in the production and distribution of security boots through a company that provided boots to Ghana and the surrounding area.
