

The small island nation of Sao Tome and Principe is set to welcome a floating Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) platform, according to a September report from ESI Africa, a multimedia platform covering energy and utilities. OTEC uses the temperature difference between the ocean’s comparatively warmer surface waters and its extremely cold deep waters to produce renewable energy.
