The 2024 budget and financial statement will likely be presented at Parliament House in Accra today by Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta. Jinapor stated, "We recently met with the Minister of Finance at the Finance Committee, and the Minister indicated that he intends to raise an additional GH₵11 billion, or roughly 1% of GDP. However, we have told him that we think it will be inappropriate to come with new taxes because the people have already been taxed so much; instead, the Minister should look at cost cutting."
