Former Black Stars midfielder, Derek Boateng, has thrown his weight behind Stephen Appiah’s bid to become the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Boateng, who played alongside Appiah at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, praised Appiah’s leadership qualities and believes he has what it takes to run the affairs of Ghana football.
“A calibre like Stephen Appiah is capable of running Ghana football as Football Association president and he will do it better,” Boateng told Accra-based Kingdom FM.
Boateng recalled his playing days with Appiah, where he was impressed by his work rate and leadership skills.
