Former president John Dramani Mahama has received an apology from Kennedy Agyapong, a presidential contender for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), who called him a lovely man to whom he had not been fair.

On Thursday, October 2023, on Starr Chat on Accra-based Starr FM, the member of parliament for Assin Central mentioned this among other things.

He claims that, in retrospect, he has seen that his harsh criticism of Mahama was unjustified and that an unequivocal apology to the former president was only appropriate.

“I believe that the manner he treated me and the way I spoke to John Mahama angrily were unfair to Mahama. He is such an amazing individual.

“I’m sorry, I’m just a regular person. In an interview with Bola Ray, Agyapong claimed, “I suppose I recounted my relationship with him and all that I wanted to say I am sorry.
