He claims that Ghanaians, especially those in the Ashanti Region, realize that Mahama, the opposition National Democratic Congress’ (NDC’s) presidential candidate, is a superior controller of the economy and that they will support him.

Because of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s dismal performance, the sub-Chief of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, said that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) would lose the election even if they made Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior of Christians, their candidate.

“I am aware that Mahama prevailed in the poll. The NPP would not win the election, even if they brought Jesus Christ. I’m giving you the truth.

“Since things have gotten out of hand and are just going worse. In a popular video that journalist KB Nkansah uploaded, the traditional leader said in Twi, “A good thing speaks for itself.

Additionally, he advised the NDC presidential hopeful to choose an Ashanti-region resident as his running mate in the 2024 elections.

“If that former president—God willing—is going to select a new vice president, I advise him to select someone from the Ashanti Region.”

He continued, “If he is going to select from the Ashanti land, I advise him to go with my own brother, Oppong Akwasi Fosu.
