The club stated that the funds earned would go to Arms Around the Child, a charity for which Christian served as an ambassador, and they would use them to finish the school they had begun constructing in his native Ghana.
The auction, which has numerous memorabilia from club luminaries as well as autographed shirts from every member of the squad, will last until 2pm on April 8.
Cesar Azpilicueta, the captain of Chelsea, continued, “This effort allows us to celebrate the life of Christian, who was loved by the club and who we sadly mourn.
“During the hours we spent together, Christian’s lovely personality shined through, and any gift to the shirt sale would offer invaluable help towards the legacy he leaves behind.”
