At the Tema Port, a major altercation between security guards from the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) and Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) officers developed, leading to a physical altercation that disrupted the peace of the port.

The heated argument between the two parties at the Ghana Port Security and Immigration Service was captured on camera during the tense altercation.

After a disagreement during normal vessel checks on the MSC DYMPHNA, a group of about 12 GPHA security members stationed at Meridian Port Services (MPS) reportedly assaulted the GIS office at MPS with the goal of capturing two officials. This is how the altercation broke out.
