In Ghana, the first family, individual, or group to emigrate to a community would frequently give the town or hamlet its name.
Some of the village has names – such as ‘Vagina is Wise’ and ‘Testicles are Sad’ that led to Parliamentarians bursting into fits of giggles.

Beposo (top of the hill)
Another town that caught our attention on our trip from Kintampo to Techiman was Beposo which directly translates into English as on top of the hill.
The indigenes tell our news team that their forefathers once won a battle by fighting the enemy from the top of a hill and that’s how the place became known as Beposo.
