According to an earlier report, 30-year-old Temitope Adedeji was charged with assault and conduct likely to provoke a breach of peace on Thursday when she appeared in court at the Iyaganku Magistrate’s Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. The accused is suspected of beating her landlord and his wife; her residential address is still unknown, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
The event happened in the Ajinde Area of Ire-Akari, Ibadan, on Tuesday at roughly 6:40 p.m., according to Phillip Amusan, the prosecution’s attorney. Adedeji, a tenant in the complainant’s home, is accused by Amusan of physically abusing Dasola and her husband, Olumuyiwa Balogun, by beating them. Amusan further asserted that the defendant behaved in a way that could have resulted in a breach of peace when he locked the couple out of their shop and attacked them. The criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000, specifically Sections 351 and 249(d), are violated by the allegations brought against Adedeji.
