Accra Floods Once More

Following yesterday’s downpour, Accra, the capital of the country, saw severe flooding that destroyed homes and forced the closure of stores and other businesses.

The heavy rain had a significant impact on the 37 Military Hospital-Legon stretch, particularly in the area around the Africa Regent Hotel, Spanner, and Airport.
The other areas affected were Kaneshie First Light, Mallam, Alajo, Adabraka, Makola, and Odawna.
A huge billboard at Teshie Roman Junction collapsed just before lunchtime, trapping the occupants of a Toyota Corolla and saving their lives.
