The Country’s forward thinking trades records from 2021 got a measure of $3.330 addressing an increment of 17% over the course of the year 2020 procuring of $2.846.
In 2017 to 2021 Ghana’s non- traditional exports grew at an annual average rate of 7.07% and contributed 22.62% to the total national merchandise exports of Ghana in their year 2021.
Mr Isaac Tersiah ,Branch manager of Ghana Shipper Authority(GSA), made this known at a seminar organized for importers, exporters, bankers and other stakeholders in Ghana’s international trade in the Upper West Region.
This was to help address the problem and challenges posed by the implementation of the Bank of Ghana letter of commitment for the repatriation of export proceeds to many businesses.
He followed the introduction of Bank Of Ghana’s letter of the commitment for the repatriation of export proceeds in 2016, the (GSA) received many complaints from exporters and some customer house agents on the challenges, it implementation was passing on their businesses known as export.
