Surprisingly, Thomas Partey, an Arsenal midfielder, did not receive a nomination for the EA Sports Premier League squad of the season.
Despite his remarkable form, the 29-year-old’s name was noticeably absent from the list of nominees that was made public on Monday.
Partey has been a crucial component of Arsenal’s successful season thus far, as his presence in the middle of the field has allowed the Gunners to dominate their rivals.
The Ghanaian international has frequently been contrasted with the best midfielders in the English top division, including Casemiro of Manchester United and Rodri of Manchester City.
Partey was not included in the final list of nominees for the Premier League team of the season, even though the latter pair did.
