Report: CHRAJ exploring Dep. Orientation Minister assign for conflict of interest

 

The Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) is exploring charges of irreconcilable situation against the Deputy Gender Minister-assign, Francisca Oteng-Mensah.

Miss Oteng-Mensah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Kwabre East is blamed for granting an agreement to an organization she is a chief and investor of while she filled in as the Board Chairperson of National Youth Authority (NYA).

In a report by Fourth Estate, Ms Oteng-Mensah is claimed to have regulated the board to pay ¢700,000 to Adonko Company – an auxiliary of the Angel Group of Companies.

On March 31, 2020, the NYA gave an assertion sending off a cross country youth crusade against the Covid-19 pandemic.
