The Okaikwei North Constituency Member of Parliament for the New Patriotic Party, NPP, referenced a modified statute when requesting clarity on issues pertaining to the Petroleum Management Act.

Nasir Alfa Mohammed, a witness for the Public Interest and Accountability Committee, was being questioned by Patrick Yaw Boamah, an attorney and member of the ad hoc committee looking into a vote of censure made against the embattled Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

On November 17, when it was the MP’s turn to ask a series of questions, he attempted to wrap things up by asking the witness to explain a piece of a pertinent statute, but the guest informed the committee that the said law didn’t exist.
