Lt. Col. Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba, who had orchestrated a coup against democratically elected Christian Roch Marc Kabore, served as the country’s military ruler from January 2022 until the last day of September 2022.

Through a coup, he was forced to exit through the same door he entered through. Sandaogo Damiba leaves. Captain Ibrahim Traore enters.

The age of Traore is 34. twice as old as the majority of political and regal leaders in Africa.

He seized control of the Movement following Damiba’s resignation on Sunday, October 2, and is a member of the MPSR (Patriotic Movement for Safeguarding and Restoration), the coup vehicle that ousted Damiba;
