Former president and NDC presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama has been appointed as the development head for the Penyi traditional region in the Ketu North Municipality.

Adomonline.com said that as Mr. Mahama, the special guest of honor at the just concluded Penyi Nugoryiza, was welcomed into the town, a sizable crowd of people drummed and danced.
The paramount chief of Penyi, Togbiga Dadzi V, lavished Mr. Mahama with praise for accepting their invitation.
