Former NDC executive: Mahama is unfit to govern Ghana once again.

Stephen Ashitey Adjei, a former official of the opposition National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) branch in Tema East, has declared that his party’s presidential candidate for the 2024 elections is unfit for office.

Ashitey Adjei, often known as Moshake, claimed that former president John Dramani Mahama has lost too much popular support in Ghana for anyone to be persuaded to trust him with managing the country’s affairs in a report on party events.

“Mr. Kofi Bentil, Vice President of IMANI Africa, chose Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over John Mahama because of this phenomenon, even though Mahama was very kind to IMANI during his presidency,” he wrote.

“Many in the country’s civil society community share Kofi Bentil’s view,” claims Moshake.

Moshake went on to write that John Mahama has demonstrated that he is not fit to lead the nation once more.

“It is all in the ambiguous nature of his campaign promise so far, the 24-hour economy promise, that I knew it was only a matter of time before it would lose steam, and the 24-hour policy started looking bogus as soon as Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia revealed his mission statement,” he continued.

“The nebulous nature of the promise also shows that Mr. Mahama has lost ideas,” claims Moshake.

Moshake expressed his frustration in a letter to the NDC, saying that he had advised them not to choose John Mahama as their presidential candidate because of his very negative record, but they had disregarded his advice.

“John Mahama’s shortcomings as president sent us into opposition, and this election was meant to be our best chance to turn things around. However, things are not going well for us since Mr. Mahama’s 24-hour economy promise isn’t working.
