Faustina Elikplim Akurugu, the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for the Dome Kwabenya constituency, has stated her confidence in her ability to lead the party in the area and unseat the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2024.
She has called Sarah Adwoa Safo, the current Member of Parliament (MPP) for the area, dismal and retrogressive in her performance in the district.
In an attempt to lead the party in the constituency into the general election of 2024, she was addressing journalists.
After her successes in the constituency, Faustina Elikplim Akurugu declared that she was the most qualified candidate to win the seat from the NPP.
“Today, rather than making progress, the constituency led by NPP MP Sarah Adwoa Safo has regressed.
“A person’s ability to effectively lobby the House rests on their bravery, interpersonal skills, and rapport with other members of parliament. Then, it also depends on the individual’s history for you to be appointed to the various committees,” she said.
