Luxury Empire Exposed: Properties Linked to Former NSB Director Since 2018

Kwabena Adu Boahene, the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), and his wife, Angela Adjei-Boateng, have been linked to a slew of luxury properties in Ghana and abroad, amid investigations into alleged financial misappropriation.

According to Attorney-General Dr. Dominic Ayine, Adu Boahene amassed over GH₵39 million from the purchase of $7 million in cyber defence system software from an Israeli company, ISC Holdings Limited, in 2020 ¹. This revelation raises questions about the source of funds used for the acquisition of these properties.

Properties Linked to Adu Boahene and His Wife:

– No. 2 Stream Part Drive, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra: A deposit of $1,000,000 (GHS15,000,000) was made for this estate ¹.
– No. 6 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra: Purchased with an initial cash deposit of $500,000, part of a deal involving five houses ¹.
– No. 7 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA: Acquired for $200,000 ¹.
– No. 8 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA: An initial deposit of $97,815 was made, with suspicions of additional cash payments ¹.
– No. 9 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra: A deposit of $270,000 was recorded ¹.
– No. 10 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra: The deposit amount for this property stands at $150,000.

Additionally, Adu Boahene is linked to Vertex Properties, a company that owns 27 houses in Oyarifa, each valued at $295,000. Investigators have also tracked two properties in London, although specific details are yet to be disclosed.

The Attorney-General has warned banks and financial institutions not to facilitate any transactions involving Adu Boahene’s assets or funds, as the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) actively tracks bank accounts linked to him and his wife.
