Report: CHRAJ exploring Dep. Orientation Minister assign for conflict of interest

 

The Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) is exploring charges of irreconcilable situation against the Deputy Gender Minister-assign, Francisca Oteng-Mensah.

Report: CHRAJ exploring Dep. Orientation Minister assign for conflict of interest

Miss Oteng-Mensah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Kwabre East is blamed for granting an agreement to an organization she is a chief and investor of while she filled in as the Board Chairperson of National Youth Authority (NYA).

In a report by Fourth Estate, Ms Oteng-Mensah is claimed to have regulated the board to pay ¢700,000 to Adonko Company – an auxiliary of the Angel Group of Companies.

On March 31, 2020, the NYA gave an assertion sending off a cross country youth crusade against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The power referenced that it would “limit the mission to electronic means, subsequently web-based entertainment, customary media and instant messages. Short and enlightening recordings and messages will be made and communicated on the different virtual entertainment stages, radio and TV channels.”

In April 2020, the National Youth Authority as a feature of its ‘Coronavirus Youth Campaign’ gave grouped fundamental clinical coordinated operations to the Ministry of Health. The things included goggles, individual defensive gear (PPEs) and hand sanitisers.

Ms Oteng-Mensah is claimed to have managed the board to pay ¢700,000 to Adonko Company – an auxiliary of the Angel Group of Companies.
