
The family of a woman who died during an anti-robbery operation in Pigfarm, an Accra suburb, has received sympathy from the police.
The goal of the long-running operation is to apprehend a criminal gang connected to multiple robberies.
The woman was unintentionally struck during the Saturday morning raid that resulted in the arrest of two suspected members of a gang connected to multiple robberies, according to a statement from the police. She was brought to the hospital, but tragically, she was declared dead when she arrived. The corpse has been placed in the morgue for examination and preservation.

Two gang members were taken into custody by police on Saturday, December 16, 2023, and efforts are still underway to apprehend the remaining members.
