POLICE UPDATE ON SHOOTING INCIDENT AT ASIYAW: FOUR SUSPECTS ARRESTED

The Eastern South Regional Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with the murder of five (5) people at Asiyaw, near Akwane-Dobro, Nsawam, in the Eastern Region.

The suspects, Samuel Atsu Forson alias Alanyo, Freeheart Kweku Sedonu, Kwesi Prince and Benjamin Adzalekor, were arrested from their respective hideouts.

It will be recalled that a shooting incident occurred on 29th April 2025, resulting in the death of five people following a confrontation between two groups over sand winning at Asiyaw, near Akwane-Dobro.

The suspects were subsequently arraigned before the Osino District Court on 2nd May 2025. Suspects Samuel Atsu Forson, Freeheart Kweku Sedonu and Kwesi Prince were remanded into prison custody, while Benjamin Adzalekor was remanded into police custody. The suspects are to reappear before the court on 8th May 2025.

We would like to assure the general public that the suspects will be taken through the due process of the law.
