12-YEAR-OLD BOY SUFFERS CRITICAL INJURIES IN HIT-AND-RUN AT KWAHU TAFO, DRIVER IN POLICE CUSTODY AFTER FLEEING SCENE

A 12-year-old boy by name Randy Asante a.k.a Kobii suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle with registration number GE 4873-21 matiz at Kwahu Tafo in the Kwahu East district of the Eastern Region.

Stephen Nyarko driver is in police custody after fleeing from scenes.

Speaking to an Eyewitness Mr Akapela, he said when the driver hits the boy with the car, the driver wanted to run away but he(the Eyewitness) tried his possible best to stop the driver and puts the boy in the car for him to be sent to the hospital for treatment.

According to the Eyewitness, after putting the boy in the car, he went home to call the parent of the boy to inform them about the issue and later found out that the boy wasn’t sent to any hospital but rather was dumped in a bush at Kwahu Asakraka by the driver.

On his part, the father of the boy Mr Francis Oware a.k.a Boboo Wayo said he had the information that his son has been hit by a car and has been sent to the hospital so he rushed to all the hospitals in Kwahu but the son was nowhere to be found.

He said it was later that he was called by the police that his son has been found by a good Samaritan in a bush at Kwahu
