Due to their extended lack of monthly stipends, a number of Ghanaian students under the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat in the UK have reported experiencing challenging circumstances.

While some students have been expelled from their schools, others are being held captive by their landlords and school administrators in order to avoid paying their rent.

To improve the situation, an online petition is requesting help from the government.

Some have been forced to stay longer than necessary because they lack the funds to return home. According to the petition, some people have had their landlords sue them for not paying their rent.

Some students claim that there has been a great deal of difficulty and struggle.

“Only three or four months of stipend were paid to those who even graduated in December of last year.”

“I visited this place in September of last year. There is no stipend available.
