Nurses and Midwives joins strike on Monday 5th July, all OPD services to shut down

The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) has announced its support for the ongoing strike action by Organized Labour, with a significant impact on healthcare services.

President Perpetual Ofori-Ampofo revealed that all Outpatient Departments (OPDs) in health facilities will be closed from Monday, July 15, 2024.

While other departments will continue to operate, the GRNMA warned that they may also be directed to withdraw their services if the situation persists. This move is in solidarity with Organized Labour’s demand for the immediate termination of the controversial SSNIT hotels sale process.
