Reject unapproved transport fare increase – GPRTU and GRTCC to Passengers

The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) and the Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC) have advised commuters to exercise caution and refrain from paying any new, unapproved transport fares until an official announcement is made.

This comes in response to the Transport Operators Union and the Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana’s declaration of a 15% transport fare increase, slated to take effect on Monday, July 22, 2024. Commuters are urged to await official confirmation before accepting any fare changes.
