Famous music producer Fred Kyei Mensah claims that performer Ofori Amponsah has lied about how he got in touch with Daddy Lumba.
According to Samuel Ofori Amponsah, a famed highlife artist, he went to meet Daddy Lumba in his home to express interest in working with him after recording his demo without any assistance.
However, Fred Kyei Mensah, also known as Fredyma, revealed in an interview with TV XYZ for the programme “The Legends” that he personally presented Ofori Ampnsah to Daddy Lumba.
“One of my uncles alerted Ofori Amponsah about me and let him know that I might assist him in getting his song recorded. As a result, I was present when Ofori Amponsah approached me with his demos, and I listened to a few of the songs.
Later, when I asked him to perform another song, he began singing “Odo Mbra Fie,” which was nice. In order to quickly record the song, I rapidly went to town with him to get a new keyboard,” he admitted.
