From Cassettes to Abibiduro: MFK Draws Inspiration from Ghanaian Entrepreneurs

Media Personality Maame Frimpomaa Korankye Ventures into Entrepreneurship with “Akakaduro” Business

Maame Frimpomaa Korankye, the host of popular radio show Lawson Afisem, has announced her latest endeavour: starting her own “akakaduro” business. The media personality took to social media to share her excitement and intentions, citing inspiration from successful Ghanaian business moguls.

According to Maame Frimpomaa, she draws motivation from the rags-to-riches stories of Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, Dr. Kwaku Oteng, and Richard Nii Quaye. She noted that these individuals achieved success through innovative and sometimes unconventional means, such as selling cassettes, “abibiduro,” and even a family TV.

Emboldened by their examples, Maame Frimpomaa has decided to follow suit and launch her own “akakaduro” business. While the term “akakaduro” roughly translates to “corn dough” in the Akan language, it remains unclear what specific products or services Maame Frimpomaa’s business will offer.

The media personality’s announcement has generated significant buzz on social media, with many fans and followers expressing support and curiosity about her new venture. As Maame Frimpomaa embarks on this entrepreneurial journey, she is likely to face both opportunities and challenges. Nevertheless, her courage and determination to pursue her passion are qualities that many aspiring entrepreneurs can learn from.

Maame Frimpomaa’s decision to start her own business also highlights the growing trend of entrepreneurship in Ghana, particularly among women. As the country continues to navigate its economic development, innovative and ambitious individuals like Maame Frimpomaa will play a vital role in shaping Ghana’s future.
