A verbal altercation broke out between Ningo-Prampram MP Sam Nartey George and his Nhyiaeso constituency colleague, Dr. Stephen Amoah, after the latter called Sam George a liar.
This occurred on Wednesday, February 28, during TV3’s Big Issues discussion of President Nana Akufo-Addo’s State of the Nation Address.
Sam George was not amused when Stephen Amoah called him a liar on an episode of the show.
In response, Sam George remarked that, in contrast to what John Ofori-Tenkorang, Director-General of Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), stated about the numbers, it was the president who was lying when he claimed that there were a certain number of self-employed SSNIT contributors.
He stated, “I am a 39-year-old liar, but Akufo-Addo is a 79-year-old liar.”
Stephen Amoah answered, “It’s a blessing to be his age. Pray to get there.”
The discussion between the two continued until Stephen Amoah retracted his statement.
But Sam George maintained that Akufo-Addo had made a false statement.
