About 70,000 smart tablets have already been given to 30 of the 450,000 schools that are supposed to receive them as part of the exercise’s initial phase, according to Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.

He clarified that an automatic system is used for the distribution, guaranteeing that only pupils registered in the Senior High School Secretariat database are served.

Dr. Adutwum said that serial numbers have been provided to each student in order to identify who is using a particular gadget, ensuring that only qualified pupils receive the tablets.

The schools that have received the smart tablets thus far are Opoku Ware School, Bosomtwe Girls, OLA SHS at Kenyasi, St. James SHS, Bosomtwe STEM Academy, Osei Adutwum SHS, Wesley Girls’ SHS, Abomosu STEM, Mamfe Methodist SHS, Achimota SHS, Applied Technology Institute, Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTC), Awaso STEM, Kpasenkpe SHS, and OIC.
