
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has formally introduced his campaign team, which is made up of members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from a variety of backgrounds.

The 41-person team is made up of politicians, former leaders, and current members of parliament who are all in favor of the vice president’s plan to become the NPP’s flagbearer and run for president.
Leading this campaign team are former president John Agyekum Kufuor and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who were both named to the campaign advisory council.
Several sitting Members of Parliament are part of the campaign team; some will not be returning to the House following the 2024 elections, but their main goal is to make sure the NPP “Breaks the Eight.”
As the campaign chairman and strategist, Dan Botwe, the member of parliament for the Okere Constituency in the Eastern Region, is leading the way.
The deputy for the Parliamentary Campaign within the campaign management team is Osei Bonsu Amoah, the Member of Parliament for the Akwapim South Constituency in the Eastern Region.
Four legislators have been chosen to serve as campaign coordinators, representing important geographic areas.
The MP for the Western Region’s Effia Constituency, Joseph Cudjoe, will serve as the Coordinator for Identifiable Groups.
