Transportation costs will decrease by 10% on Monday, say worried drivers

A 10% price cut on transportation has been announced by the Concerned Drivers Association.

This information was presented in a statement the association released on Friday, December 16, 2022.

Transportation costs will decrease by 10% on Monday, say worried drivers

“Noticed the huge fall in petrol costs at the pumps,” the group claims.

According to the statement, “Transportation fares have not decreased despite the drop, but broader dialogue with stakeholders is still happening to look into the call for fares reduction.”

Passengers are guaranteed a “10% decrease in fares from Monday, December 19, 2022,” the statement said, “despite the current increase in the prices of replacement parts and lubricants making the reduction in tariffs almost impossible and the margin of reduction is quite bad.”

The Ministry of Transport has also guaranteed Ghanaians that transportation costs will be reduced starting on Monday, December 19, 2022.

Hassan Tampuli, the deputy minister of transportation, made this known during an interview with Citi News.

According to a statement from the ministry, agreements with transportation providers resulted in a slight decrease in prices.
