Senior MPs and friends had required the record to be taken out until TikTok gave “valid confirmations” no information could be given to China.
TikTok is claimed by Chinese organization ByteDance, which has denied it was constrained by the Chinese government.
Relations among London and Beijing have been full lately, with strains uplifted by China’s endorsing of a few MPs last year.
“In view of part criticism, we are shutting the pilot UK Parliament TikTok account sooner than we had arranged,” a UK Parliament representative said.
“The record was a pilot drive while we tried the stage as an approach to contacting more youthful crowds with important substance about Parliament.”
A TikTok representative told the BBC it was “frustrating” that Parliament wouldn’t have the option to interface with clients of the application in the UK.
Proposing to console the MPs who raised concerns, the representative said TikTok might want to “explain any errors about our foundation”.
