Recognizing farmers’ contributions to food security and the economy is important, and Mahama underscored this on this honoring day for farmers, echoing the topic of “Delivering Smart Solutions for Sustainable Food Security and Resilience.”

He reaffirmed the NDC’s dedication to reviving farming as a joyful endeavor and revolutionizing the agriculture industry.

Mahama presented a policy that prioritizes large-scale commercial agriculture output and is backed by farmer’s service Centers, a strong cooperative system, and improved input and financing availability.

As we honor our farmers today, we also need to recognize that, in order to guarantee our country’s long-term food security, clever solutions inside a 24-hour economy are required.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is committed to transforming the agriculture industry and reviving the joy of farming. By implementing policies that encourage large-scale commercial agricultural production, we hope to attain food self-sufficiency. This will be driven by a strong cooperative structure that will profit from Farmers Service Centers that have been set up all over the country to promote input and financial availability for agriculture.”
