Report: CHRAJ exploring Dep. Orientation Minister assign for conflict of interest

The Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) is exploring charges of irreconcilable situation against the Deputy Gender Minister-assign, Francisca Oteng-Mensah. Francisca Oteng Mensah Miss Oteng-Mensah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Kwabre East is blamed for granting an agreement to an organization she is a chief and investor of while she filled in as the Board Chairperson of National Youth Authority (NYA). In a report by Fourth Estate, Ms Oteng-Mensah is claimed to have regulated the board to pay ¢700,000 to Adonko Company - an auxiliary of the Angel Group of Companies. On March 31, 2020, the NYA gave an assertion sending off a cross country youth crusade against the Covid-19 pandemic. Ms Oteng-Mensah is claimed to have managed the board to pay ¢700,000 to Adonko Company - an auxiliary of the Angel Group of Companies. Fourteen out of the 15 board individuals from the establishment were in the Zoom meeting to support the sum. That gathering had the board director, Francisca Oteng Mensah; the CEO, Sylvester Tetteh; and a Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Secretariat, Henry Nana Boakye, in participation. Minutes of the board's virtual gathering on that day show the CEO introduced administration's proposition for GH₵3 million for a mission to help the public authority's battle against COVID-19. An occupant of Nima in Accra, Ismail Mohammed, on January 21, 2021, requested of the counter join organization to investigate the lead of the MP, demanding the NYA's ¢3 million costs on a Covid-19 mission in 2020 had components of indecency. In a reaction to the request, the legal counselors for Francisca Oteng-Mensah, Ghartey and Ghartey, let CHRAJ know that the appeal had "no realities that would uphold the conviction that our client has been engaged with an irreconcilable circumstance. There is without question no reason for the conviction that there has been an irreconcilable circumstance." The legal counselors for the MP say the simple reality that the NYAnboard seat was connected to Adonko Bitters, where the NYA purchased hand sanitisers, didn't place her in that frame of mind of interest circumstance.
