“In this election, my son, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, who is also a son, is running alongside you; he is not your opponent or competition.
“He is your older brother, a former Ghanaian president, and he is running for reelection with the support of our nation’s biggest opposition party.
“Whoever we elect will bring the trophy home, so as northerners, we have already won the election.”
