Additionally, he presided over the board of the Accra-based Judicial Training Institute. The University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ho’s Chairman of the University Council is Jones Dotse.

He received his secondary schooling at the Accra Academy. After completing his legal studies at the University of Ghana in Legon in June 1976, he was admitted to the Ghanaian Bar in November 1978.

He has taken classes and attended seminars across the globe, including in the US, Canada, Ghana, Nigeria, and Liberia.
