
This arrangement has been put in place to make up for the network challenges experienced during the first two (2) days of the registration exercise,” the notice read.
The notice reiterated the commission’s commitment to ensuring that all qualified individuals get the opportunity to register.
“We urge all eligible citizens who are yet to register to visit the Commission’s office in the district where they reside to register to vote,” it added.
The limited voter registration exercise, which began on May 7, aims to allow first-time voters and other eligible individuals to obtain voter cards.
However, the process has faced a myriad of challenges, including network issues and the registration of minors and foreigners.
But the EC has kept the public informed and has taken steps to address these problems throughout the period.
