EC approval is not required for us to employ drones in the 2024 elections (NDC).

However, the EC revealed that the NDC’s intention to use drones in the Greater Accra area will not be feasible.

The European Commission stressed that such a move would not be permitted since it would violate security rules and violate voters’ right to privacy throughout the voting process.

On election day, Ashie Moore emphasized that the NDC does not require authorization from the election administration organization in order to employ drones for surveillance.

Speaking on FlytvGH, he stated that, contrary to what the EC had feared, drone deployment at polling places would not result in a violation of the right to a private ballot.

“This is one of the tactics I intend to apply in my area to keep an eye on the activities and the observations I made during the restricted registration. so that anyone is plotting something nefarious will be aware that Big Brother is keeping an eye on him.

“I did not specify in my statement that I would fly a drone on top of a polling station. I do not need authorization from the EC to fly a drone while I’m going to bury my dead mother.

This election, I declared, “We are going to use drones to monitor my poll workers, my prompters, and myself to make sure that every task I assign gets completed.”
